A great children’s book that was published in 2005, 8 years ahead of the FAO edible insect report this children’s story was ahead of its time.
It’s a short book at 32 pages and tells the story of Beetle McGrady a young girl who dreams of being a brave explorer and how a Fun with food week in Mr Wrigley’s science class and an Ant changed that.
The story then explores Beetle as she finds out about insects through a dare with the help of Chef Susan.
Great illustrations and facts on insects make this book one I recommend for anyone starting their Entomophagy journey who has kids.
